How-To Guide: Free to Speak

If you work at Kaiser Permanente, your voice matters. Period.

Kaiser Permanente Chairman and CEO Bernard J. Tyson says so. And in 2015, President Barack Obama praised KP for being an organization where union workers have a voice. (See videos of each below!)

If you already feel free to speak, keep on keeping on. If you've felt reluctant to share your ideas and concerns, the time to start is now.

Be inspired by our videos, including the one above, which shows the impact an empowered union worker has had on our patients—including 8-year-old Lucy Scott.

Share the posters in this how-to guide with your teammates and use the tools here to help create a #FreeToSpeak culture at Kaiser Permanente.

The whole point is to create authentic dialogues. . . (to) get better answers to the problems and issues that we're trying to solve.
