When we casually reveal where we work at social gatherings, most of us who work at KP get an earful. Often it’s positive. Some times it’s not. And sometimes friends, relatives or acquaintances ask us if they should join Kaiser Permanente.

Senior Vice President Barbara Grimm recently took a shot at answering the question. She came up with eight compelling reasons to become—or to stay—a KP member. She was joined by Wade Overgaard, vice president of sales and account management for California, who came up with a ninth great reason. Maybe you can come up with a tenth.

Another reason to choose KP

I think we should add coordinated care through member-centered team and KP has consistent adoption of proven care standards and best practices

Reason to join Kaiser

In addition to the 9 reasons in the video, among my circles it also matters that we are leading the industry in the areas of cultural competence, workforce diversity, health equity, LGBTIQQ employee & patient rights/services, medical research, and giving employees a voice through the Partnership (more than just UBTs). I am proud to work at Kaiser Permanente in large part because of these efforts.
