Georgia

In developing high-performing UBTs, the Georgia region is building on its five-year, "five pillars" strategic plan. That plan calls for making KP more affordable, instilling loyalty in current members, increasing its market share in the state, fostering a performance culture among employees and enhancing the KP brand. Georgia's unit-based teams are central to the region's efforts to grow and retain membership. Teams made strides in 2010 on projects ranging from decreased specimen-handling errors to increased rates of retinal screening for patients with diabetes to improved attendance. Regional People Pulse scores show that partnership has fostered pride and engagement, and leaders think the benefits of that will extend to the community.
