Dee Edington: Health Is a Union Issue

If your team is eating fewer doughnuts at meetings, or your colleagues are walking more during breaks and smoking less, you may have this man to thank. Dee Edington, a scientist at the University of Michigan Health Management Center and national leader in the study of workplace wellness, is an adviser to KP’s Healthy Workforce program. We sat down with Edington after his workshop at the 2011 Union Delegates Conference to talk about the role of the union in creating a healthy workplace, and to find out how we can continue to make health a part of the culture at KP.
