From farm worker to physician: Faustina Nevarez’s story

Faustina Nevarez, an ob/gyn, chooses to practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente because growing up in an immigrant, farm worker family gave her a passion for providing quality care to working families. She was drawn to KP when she realized that here, “the senator and the senator’s housekeeper are treated the same.” And she believes KP’s mission makes the organization a model for how to deliver health care.
