Caring for elderly parents isn’t easy, especially when both have multiple illnesses. Katherine Webster, a longtime KP member, coordinated her aging parents’ care for three years. The Websters, like many families in Richmond, California, came to the area during World War II and found good jobs—jobs that came with Kaiser Permanente health care. Katherine Webster credits the caring staff at the Richmond Medical Center with getting her whole family through the toughest times throughout their lives. Their story chronicles KP’s commitment to the Richmond community.
