Van Jones has worked on social issues ranging from curbing police violence to promoting green jobs as a way to lift impoverished communities. In 2009, he served as the green jobs adviser in the Obama White House. Today he is a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC, and a distinguished visiting fellow at Princeton University.
