Workforce of the Future

You are our most vital asset.

We want to help you sharpen your skills to do the best job possible. You are key in helping us improve care and service. Becoming a lifelong learner and getting to know more about the critical skills can help you make vital contributions to our success and better prepare yourself for the future.

Eligible union members can:
• Sign up for the critical skills essential to meeting the changing demands of health care: digital fluency, consumer focus, performance improvement and collaboration.
• Access career counseling, courses and more through 2 Labor Management Partnership-supported education trusts, Ben Hudnall Memorial Trust and SEIU UHW-West & Joint Employer Education Fund.

All employees can use tuition reimbursement to take courses to build your skills.

Use the materials below for more tips, ideas and inspiration to prepare for the future. For questions about the Workforce of the Future initiative, email national-wfpd [at] kp.org (National Workforce Planning and Development).

One of the things I’ve always loved about Kaiser is that you can have many careers here. I got great support from my union, my manager and my career counselor.
