Finding Common Ground
The 2015 National Agreement was negotiated by 150 frontline workers and senior leaders from across Kaiser Permanente and the Coalition of Kaiser Permanente Unions. Like all previous national agreements, it was reached using an interest-based problem-solving approach. In interest-based bargaining, the parties identify shared interests, propose ways to meet those interests, and agree on solutions. The process yields mutually beneficial results that preserve—and improve—workplace relationships and partnership.
